Council has been working with Public Transport Victoria (PTV) and Yarra Trams to develop an integrated design for Acland Street. Public Transport Victoria and Yarra Trams intend to construct a new level-access tram terminus on Acland
Street, to serve Route 96 trams.

This has been very controversial. Council has released a draft Masterplan for consultation. It will make a decision in December.
